NOEL: Police received a report of a theft of two vehicles from a Noel residence overnight on Dec. 30.

East Hants RCMP S/Sgt. Cory Bushell said police were advised that two vehicles were taken from the complainants driveway.

The first vehicle was described as a grey 2008 Chevrolet Silverado and the second vehicle was a red 2008 Honda Accord.

“Both were present at the residence’s property at 10:30 p.m. on Dec. 29,” said S/Sgt. Bushell, “but were discovered missing at 7:30 a.m. the following morning.”

He said later on Dec. 30, the Honda Accord was spotted in the Halifax area by a friend of the owner.

“East Hants RCMP immediately requested the assistance of Halifax Regional Police to locate and seize the Accord,” he said. “HRP officers were successful.”

S/Sgt. Bushell said the Accord has been returned to it’s owner. However, the 2008 Silverado is still missing.

Police are asking anyone with information on the incident to contact East Hants RCMP at 902-883-7077 or Crime Stoppers.
