Theft of two vehicles in Noel under investigation by RCMP

NOEL: Police received a report of a theft of two vehicles from a Noel residence overnight on Dec. 30.

East Hants RCMP S/Sgt. Cory Bushell said police were advised that two vehicles were taken from the complainants driveway.

The first vehicle was described as a grey 2008 Chevrolet Silverado and the second vehicle was a red 2008 Honda Accord.

“Both were present at the residence’s property at 10:30 p.m. on Dec. 29,” said S/Sgt. Bushell, “but were discovered missing at 7:30 a.m. the following morning.”

He said later on Dec. 30, the Honda Accord was spotted in the Halifax area by a friend of the owner. 

“East Hants RCMP immediately requested the assistance of Halifax Regional Police to locate and seize the Accord,” he said. “HRP officers were successful.”

S/Sgt. Bushell said the Accord has been returned to it’s owner. However, the 2008 Silverado is still missing.
