ELMSDALE: RCMP received a report of an impaired driver in the Elmsdale Business Park on April 28.

S/Sgt. Cory Bushell stated that the complainant stated the driver was in a business parking lot, drinking a beer, and eating.

“Upon arrival, members came upon an online shopping delivery van,” said S/Sgt. Bushell. “The driver was approached, and members found evidence that he had been consuming alcohol.”

He said the driver, a 25-year-old Dartmouth man, was given a roadside screening demand but failed to provide a suitable sample for investigators.

The man was arrested and charged for refusing the breathalyzer. He was released and will attend court at a later date.
