LOWER SACKVILLE: Halifax District RCMP are investigating an armed robbery at a gas station in Lower Sackville on Thursday night.
In a press release Oct. 28, Halifax District RCMP spokesman Cpl. Dal Hutchinson said the armed robbery involved two men and occurred at about 9:30 p.m. The two men entered the gas station with a weapon and demanded cigarettes.
“They left with several bags of cigarettes and no one was injured,” said Cpl. Hutchinson.
One of the men is described as white with an average build, about five-foot nine tall, and wearing a red shirt. The other man is described as black with a heavy build, about five-foot ten tall, and wearing a green jacket.
“Police arrived on-scene quickly and were assisted by a Halifax Regional Police K-9 Unit,” said Cpl. Hutchinson.
He said the investigation is ongoing and is now being led by the Integrated General Investigation Section.
