FALL RIVER: A snow plow from Dexter Construction ended up on it’s side on a subdivision in Fall River as it cleared away the ice and snow on Dec. 2.

Firefighters from Station 45 Fall River; Halifax District RCMP; and EHS responded to the end of a cul-de-sac on Tamarac Drive on Monday night for the single-vehicle collision.

The driver was not hurt in the incident. Dexter has the contract for the area for snowplowing from HRM.

Witnesses who live nearby said firefighters, police, and paramedics had to park further away on the street and walk up to it because the street was so icy.

The cause of the mishap is related to icy conditions from the freezing rain that was hitting the area.
