ELMSDALE: Nova Scotia Health announced on Feb. 25 that two of the upcoming scheduled COVID19 Rapid Testing sites will be held in Elmsdale.
The rapid testing will take place at the Elmsdale Fire Hall on Saturday Feb. 27 and Sunday Feb. 28.
On Feb. 27, the test site runs from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
For Feb. 28, the test site hours are from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Rapid testing is offered for people who:
- Are over 16
- do not have symptoms
- have not travelled
- have not visited a potential exposure location
- have not been in contact with someone who has tested positive

- Thursday, Feb. 25 — Eastern Passage Cow Bays Lion Club 65 Hornes Rd (DIRECTIONS) from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Friday, Feb. 26 — Eastern Passage Cow Bays Lion Club 65 Hornes Rd (DIRECTIONS) from noon to 7:30 p.m.
- Friday, Feb. 26 — Halifax Convention Centre, Argyle St. entrance (DIRECTIONS) 3:30 to 9:30 p.m.
- Saturday, Feb. 27 — Halifax Convention Centre, Argyle St. entrance (DIRECTIONS) 3:30 to 9:30 p.m.
- Sunday, Feb. 28 — St. Andrew’s United Church, 6036 Coburg Rd (DIRECTIONS) Halifax from 1:30 to 6:30 p.m.

You will receive a text with your negative result. If you do not receive your negative result, please reply to the text you received upon registration for rapid testing.
If you test positive, you will be notified and sent for a standard COVID-19 test.
It’s important to note: A negative result on the rapid test is not a guarantee. You could still develop or be exposed to COVID-19 in the coming days.
As such, it’s important to continue to protect yourself and others by continuing to wear a mask, washing your hands, maintaining social/physical distance and sticking to a small social bubble.
