FALL RIVER: The RCMP in the Halifax District and East Hants areas, like their counterparts with Halifax Regional Police, have been responding to non-compliance calls in recent days.
Cpl. Lisa Croteau, spokeswoman with N.S. RCMP, said while they were not in position to provide stats at this time, she could confirm officers did respond to several calls per day as a result of the measures put in place due to the COVID19 pandemic.
“We ask everyone to do their part and comply with the directions set out by the province pursuant to the public health act and state of emergency,” said Cpl. Croteau.
“We are asking people to do what Nova Scotians do so well – look out for one another.”
