FALL RIVER: The Laker, in conjunction with other Advocate Media-owned community newspapers and those across Canada, held a contest during National Newspaper Week in October.
The winner of the $200 Gift Certificate from Withrow’s in Belnan, after a draw from a hat of the entries for The Laker, was Sarah MacDonald-Miles.
Entrants had to take a photo of them reading The Laker and upload to Facebook or Twitter with the hashtags #NewspapersMatter #MoreThanEver and tag the papers in the posts.
