FALL RIVER: Three baseball players from the Fall River, Belnan and Kennetcook areas have been named among the 24 players announced for Nova Scotia’s U17 Selects squad.
The roster was released by the coaching staff of the Baseball N.S. squad on Oct. 27.
Shane Cowan of Fall River; Lane George of Belnan; and Eric Fields from Kennetcook heard their names called as making the team.
In the release it adds that the list also includes the overage players competing over the winter for the 2 positions available.
The final roster will be posted the first week of April. The team will compete at the Canada Cup in Regina next August.
