Water valve repairs begin in Windsor Junction

    WINDSOR JUNCTION: Halifax Water is advising local residents and motorists that there will be crews on site repairing a water valve on Windsor Junction Road.

    James Campbell, spokesman with Halifax Water, said the work will take place near 293 Windsor Junction Rd. In order to conduct repairs, water service will be shutdown to the follow streets:

    Windsor Junction Rd (civic 193 and on); Windgate Dr., Charleswood Dr., Ashlea Dr., Shirley Crt., Terry Rd., Valeria Crt., Ethan Dr., Elise Victoria Dr., Peter Thomas Dr., Taylor Dr., Birancrest Rd., Cumberland Way, Chervin Crt., Cottage Lane.

    “There will be stop and go traffic local traffic near the work zone at 293 Windsor Junction Road,” said Campbell. “Experienced traffic control personnel will be on-site to ensure smooth traffic flow around the work zone.

    “On-site personnel will also maintain communication with local residents and businesses to help minimize disruption.”

    He said motorists should expect delays. Motorists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones.

    “We apologize for any inconvenience this water infrastructure improvement work may cause,” said Campbell.
