WINDSOR JUNCTION: More players with ties to the LWF Baseball Association will be donning a Baseball Nova Scotia jersey this summer–at least for training purposes.
Adam Woodman; Brayden Boutilier; Aidan Webb; Carter Doucette; and Lucas Taylor were announced as making the 2020 Under-15 BNS core team.
“We had 74 players registered which made our job as coaches very difficult as it was a very strong and deep group of athletes,” Baseball Nova Scotia said in a release.
Due to the restriction of the Return to Play guidelines, the coaching staff had to make selections without any in game evaluations, which added to the difficulty.
“We decided to take 24 players for the core team, with the primary focus on player development,” the release said. “Good luck to all who tried out and lets hope we are able to get to phase 2 of the Return to Play guidelines so we can play ball.
