AMHERST: Led by Victoria Mumford, the HERH Tigers girls basketball team capped off the Amherst Regional High School (ARHS) Vikings Senior Girls invitational by going undefeated to claim the bragging rights this weekend.
The Lady Tigers started the tournament against Springhill, winning 78-37.
Mumford led the offensive attack with 23 points, enough to earn player of the game honours.
Elizabeth Quinn netted 17 points, while Ava MacIntyre added 11 points.
In game two, Hants East was led by Elizabeth Quinn with 22 points in the 80-51 victory. She was named player of the game for her efforts.
Ava MacIntyre had 16 points, while Jane Gatto contributed 13 points.
That win put the Tigers in the championship final against host Amherst.
Victoria Mumford led the way scoring more than half of the Tigers offense in the 49-29 win securing the banner. She had 25 points, including seven three pointers in the victory.
Jane Gatto, named player of the game, had eight points and Maria Kinney supplied seven points.
