FALL RIVER: HRM is advising residents and motorists there may be some traffic delays in the Fall River area on Sunday, Dec. 1. The Lions Christmas Express Parade will make its way through the community.
The parade will kickoff Christmas on the Canal starting at 5 p.m. at the Lockview High School parking lot, heading south on Lockview Road, then east on Fall River Road to the Sobeys parking lot. The entire event is expected to last about one hour.
RCMP will be on hand to help direct traffic during that time. Motorists should expect delays in the area and are advised to use alternative routes, if possible.
The community Christmas tree lighting, put on by FRABA in conjunction with the parade, will take place at 6 p.m. at the Shoppers Drug Mart. The tree will be lit in its current spot behind the soon-to-open Dairy Queen.
