ENFIELD: Santa had some Christmas Elves working for him over the past two weeks throughout the Municipality of East Hants.
S/Sgt. Cory Bushell said that officers were delivering Christmas rewards to motorists thanks to an anonymous business owner from the community.
“The merchant, looking to spread cheer and create smiles this holiday season, came to the detachment with $1,400 in $50 gift cards and asked that the members pass them out during their interactions with the public,” said S/Sgt. Bushell.
The officers were thrilled to reward those they “caught in the act.”
“Happy to oblige, the elves in blue handed out gift cards to those they “caught in the act” of good behaviour,” said S/Sgt. Bushell, “as gestures of the season, and to a few who perhaps could use a little support this year.
“The generous offering was very appreciated by all recipients and moving for the members.”
