HRM: Members of the Halifax District RCMP and the RCMP Southeast Traffic Services have charged 18 people with alcohol-related offences over the Halloween weekend.
Twelve people were charged with alcohol-impaired driving, and an additional six people were issued driving suspensions due to their blood alcohol concentration.
“If someone gets behind the wheel impaired, they are putting all road users at risk of serious injury and death. It’s not okay to drive impaired and it shouldn’t be socially acceptable.” Says Cst. Bryan Martell of the RCMP Southeast Traffic Services.
Nova Scotia RCMP would like to remind everyone on the road to call us to report unsafe driving.
The RCMP can be reached anywhere in Nova Scotia by calling 1-800-803-RCMP (7267). If it’s an emergency, call 911.
