FALL RIVER: The Lions Christmas Express continues to receive support from community businesses as the holiday season approaches quickly.
On Nov. 26, community minded realtors Jerry and Annette Murphy stepped up to donate to the community non-profit that has yearly ensured those less fortunate have a joyous Christmas.
This year more than ever the Christmas Express can use the support with COVID19 limiting their capabilities of their traditional food drive to create food hampers.
Instead, the group of volunteers behind the well-known community group have been limited to providing just Christmas breakfast and Christmas dinners to the recipients.
The cheque from KW Realty’s Jerry and Annette was presented to Pat Healey, a volunteer with the Lions Christmas Express. All parties kept their social distance and wore masks.
