MILFORD: RCMP responded to a suspected impaired driver on Highway 102 near Milford on Jan. 21.
S/Sgt. Cory Bushell said that members were advised that the suspect vehicle was driving erratically along Hwy 102.
“The caller believed the driver to be impaired,” said S/Sgt. Bushell. “An immediate patrol was made, and the vehicle was stopped.”
As members discovered upon further investigation, the driver was sober but fatigued.
“The driver was ordered to park the vehicle and get sufficient rest prior to proceeding,” he said.
S/Sgt. Bushell and East Hants RCMP reminded the public it is an offense to drive a motor vehicle while impaired; be it by drugs, alcohol, or in extreme cases, fatigue.
