FALL RIVER: Work on the Fall River water project will see the closure of another road—this time for close to a month.

In a letter to businesses and residents who live on McPherson Road, Dexter Construction says that McPherson Road between Fall River Road to Lockview Road will be closed for water main extension work during day shift hours.

The closure began May 28, and runs June 30, weather permitting. Access to McPherson Road will be maintained for residents of McPherson Road.

“For the time of the closure, barriers shall be placed at either end of the work zone along McPherson Road, permitting local traffic only,” said DEXTER’s Tyson Joyce, project manager, in the letter.

He said access will be maintained for residents who live on the street.

“At the end of our work shift, it is our intention to have the road re-opened where possible,” he said.

Hours of work will be Monday – Friday, 7am – 7pm, with evenings as required.

Joyce said for through traffic a detour will be place utilizing Fall River Road and Lockview Road.

In ending the letter, Joyce thanks residents and motorists for their cooperation during the course of the construction work.
