LOWER SACKVILLE: Shortly after midnight on July 8, Lower Sackville RCMP responded to a call of a robbery at a convenience store on Sackville Dr.
When police arrived at the scene they found the employee, who was alone in the store at the time, had been sprayed in the face with an irritant, suspected to be bear spray or something similar.
He required medical treatment and was taken to hospital by ambulance.

The men stole cash and cigarettes and left the store on foot. They got into a silver or light blue sedan, believed to be an older Chevrolet, and fled the area.
The robbery is being investigated by the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division. Anyone with information about the incident, or the identity of the two suspects, is asked to contact Halifax District RCMP or Halifax Regional Police at 902-490-5020.
