FALL RIVER: A Fall River hockey player has had the chance to get a taste of NHL hockey after being invited to a top team’s summer development camp.
Andrew Coxhead was asked to attend the Nashville Predators camp by the NHL club.
Coxhead, a Quebec Rempart, spoke briefly about the development camp. He has gone undrafted in the NHL Drafts the past two years so is a free agent.
“The camp was hard,” said Coxhead. “There were a lot of good players, but overall I felt it went really well.”
Coxhead said it was exciting for him to attend the camp.
“It was a great experience,” he said. “It’s always been a dream of mine. It meant a lot to attend it.”
What’s the next step for him in his hockey journey?
“I just have to try to improve myself and keep working as hard as I can,” said Coxhead, “and see where that takes me.”
