ENFIELD: East Hants RCMP responded to 97 calls for service during the period of Jan. 19 to Jan. 16 throughout the municipality.
Here are some of the highlighted calls, as provided by S/Sgt. Cory Bushell:
On Jan. 21, officers responded to a hit-and-run at a convenience store on Highway #1 in Mount Uniacke.
The victim reported a black Dodge Ram truck with a female driver backed into his vehicle and left. The suspect vehicle took Highway #1 in the direction of Windsor.
The suspect driver was described as having a light completion and light brown hair.

While on patrol on Hwy 215 in Moose Brook, an officer observed a Grey Mazda 6 with a headlight out. The member attempted to turn his vehicle around, but before he could do so, the Mazda sped away.
The officer continued to patrol the area and later located the car, abandoned. The vehicle was seized and towed.
The matter is still under investigation.

On Jan. 24, while on patrol in the Kennetcook area, a member observed a red Toyota Echo on Highway 236 with a very loud muffler.
As the member began to pull out in order to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle, the vehicle sped north on Highway 354.
The officer continued to patrol the area and later located the vehicle, abandoned in the local area. The vehicle was seized and towed.
