FALL RIVER: Every time Grace Lancaster touched the ball on Monday night, Jan. 7 for the Lockview High Dragons girls basketball team, she was draining it in the Halifax West basket.
Lancaster scored a season and career high 36 points—almost half her team’s points—powering her Dragons over Halifax West 74-58 at Lockview High.
Of her 36 points, she had six three-point shots (half her total for the night). In the first half, she scored 21 points alone.
Emma Foye notched 15 points, while Abbi Gaudry and Ashleigh Marshall each had seven points. Gracie Macintyre contributed five points.
Kaitlyn Power led Halifax West with 16 points.
The game was broadcast on Eastlink TV, as was the boys game which Lockview also won defeating Sackville High 70-69.
Jake Kelln led the way with 20 points and nine rebounds for the host Dragons.
Lockview holds the Bill Dompierre tournament this weekend, Jan. 11-12.
