FALL RIVER: A retirement celebration was recently held for Station 45 volunteer firefighter Norm Lavoie at the department in Fall River.
Lavoie was retiring after 33 years as a volunteer firefighter. He is remaining in his employment role with HRM Fire.
Fire Chief Ken Steubing along with Gord West, District Chief for Division 4, were among those on hand to recognize the occasion.
Here they pose with Lavoie, and Station 45 volunteer Pam Wolodka and Station Chief Nick Yeomans, to cut the cake.
Yeomans presented Lavoie a parting gift.
