FALL RIVER: Canada Post presented a specially framed stamp to the career and volunteer firefighters at Station 45 in Fall River on Oct. 2 for the zone (Waverley to Grand Lake and Goffs).
Making the presentation from Canada Post was Barry Walsh, a volunteer firefighter in Fall River, while volunteer Station Chief Nick Yeomans accepted.
The firefighter stamp was selected to go to Halifax, and now a copy of it is on the wall at Station 45 in the Gordon R. Snow Community Centre.
