WAVERLEY: Santa Claus is coming to the Village Green in Waverley this Saturday.
The Waverley Community Association is hosting Christmas on the Green from 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., and will be celebrating all things Christmas in the community’s centre piece the Village Green. It’s located at Rocky lake Drive and Hwy 2 intersection, next to Station 41 Waverley fire department.
Christmas on the Green will be fun and entertainment for the whole family, said a post from the WCA.
There will be live music, special guests Mr. & Mrs. Claus, local makers presenting their fine wares for Christmas shopping, games and crafts to entertain kids and adults alike. Ian Sherwood is among the musical acts set to perform.
The Lions Christmas Express volunteers will be on hand to accept your donations of food and toys.
There will be hamburgers & hotdogs available from the Waverley Legion BBQ and sweet treats from Miller’s Kettle Corn truck.
To top the awesome afternoon off, there will be the lighting the Village Tree at 5:30.
Please keep in mind that Christmas on the Green will be following current Covid-19 protocols including proof of vaccination and masking.
