WINDSOR JUNCTION: A Fall River-area woman was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after a harrowing single-vehicle collision in Windsor Junction on Nov. 12.

As rain was coming down, firefighters from Station 45 Fall River and Station 41 Waverley responded to the scene, located near Watson Lane off Windsor Junction Road, shortly before 8 p.m.

Witnesses say the car hydroplaned due to the heavy rain that was gathering along the road, and landed just off the tracks. It was a scary incident for those local residents nearby. The witnesses say the woman was “lucky” to not have sustained any injuries.

RCMP say the 21-year-old woman did not appear to be injured, but was tended to and transported to hospital to be on the safe side.
