FALL RIVER: The crosswalk at the Gordon R. Snow Community Centre will get a do-over—residents will just have to wait until the Fall River water project and the new bike/pedestrian lane is passed that area for it to happen.
Councillor Steve Streatch was asked about improvements to the crosswalk, as several residents have told The Laker it needs to be upgraded with fresh new paint and maybe even a light.
“We’re currently doing capital road work here on Fall River Road,” said Streatch. “Once that work is complete, the lines on the crosswalk on Fall River Road by the entrance to the Snow Centre will be enhanced and updated to meet the needs of this area.
“It will also provide greater safety for its users.”
