BEAVER BANK: A 13-year-old youth was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after a vehicle struck them on Aug. 20 at the intersection of Beaver Bank Road and Glendale Drive.
Halifax District RCMP say they responded shortly after 5 p.m. to a 911 call of the collision. In their investigation, they determined the youth was attempting to cross Beaver Bank Rd. at the intersection when the male driver of the car, who was turning left onto Beaver Bank Rd., struck him.
The youth was transported to hospital via EHS with non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the car, a 34-year-old man from Lower Sackville, was not injured. He was charged with failing to yield to a Pedestrian.
