FALL RIVER: After a year off from playing basketball, a Lockview High alum is returning to the court.
The Mount Mystics women’s basketball team, who play in the Atlantic Collegiate Athletic Association (ACAA), announced on their social media pages on March 23 that Ashleigh Marshall had committed to the team.
Marshall, a Fall River product, brings athleticism, long range shooting, speed and discipline on the defensive end, the Mystics said in their post.
She has a wealth of basketball experience on her resume. This includes four years under head coach Lori Lancaster at Lockview High; donning the Basketball Nova Scotia jerseys at the U15 and U17 Nationals.
In 2017 Marshall was a member of the U17 Canada Games team.
In 2019, Marshall earned an Atlantic University Sport (AUS) gold medal and U Sports bronze medal with the UPEI Panthers.
