FALL RIVER: A up-and-coming volleyball star from the local area knows where she’s playing the sport next season.
Amy Carey of Fall River, a soon-to-be Lockview High graduate this coming June, was officially announced as committing to the University of Kings College Blue Devils women’s volleyball team.
She is a great setter, some of her teammates tell The Laker News.
UKC plays in the Atlantic Collegiate Athletic Association (ACAA). Last year, they finished tied for fourth with MSVU Mystics. Both had 10-8 (won-loss) records.
The Blue Devils are coached by Raeesa Lalani, while Abby Czenze and Andrew Jeans serve as assistant coaches.
UKC made the announcement of Carey’s signing, along with several other new players, on their Instagram page recently.
